    • To provide effective and efficient education to foster human resources in the field of food biotechnology who are self-reliant, appreciative towards Indonesian food diversity, and competitive in the global development of food industry
    • To conduct research in food and food biotechnology by utilizing natural resources and indigenous food resources in an ethical way and to apply biotechnological innovations for better human well-being and better environment
    • To become one of the centers to explore biotechnology-based food and nutrition sciences, particularly indigenous food and interaction between nutrition and human genetics
    • To contribute to the community in the field of bio technology.
