Vision
To become a leading and adaptive Bachelor’s Study Program of Biotechnology that can enrich the value of biodiversity and local wisdom for better human well-being and more sustainable environment by the end of 2026.

Mission
  • To provide biotechnology education that is oriented towards the cultivation of independent human resources
  • To conduct biology and biotechnology research by using natural resources wisely and ethically for better human well-being
  • To contribute to the community by enriching their knowledge and introducing the benefits of biotechnology science and products for their well-being.

Objective
  • To produce graduates with a good mastery of modern biology and adequate skills in various biotechnology techniques and analyses
  • To conduct biotechnology research that is oriented towards scientific publication
  • To be able to apply biotechnology knowledge in consideration of environment and ethics and to make use of the biodiversity in Indonesia that is beneficial for the community
  • To conduct learning activities in a conducive and dynamic academic atmosphere.

I have garnered much knowledge that can now support my professional activities, the most beneficial of which is Molecular Biology. It is the core of Modern Biology and highly relevant to what we students are supposed to learn. In my opinion, Unika Atma Jaya has inculcated one important character in me, that is, the never-ending curiosity in the why and how processes happen.

The friendly lecturers are more than willing to help me, providing rich insights and valuable information when I need them. When I heard that Unika Atma Jaya always strives to produce highly professional graduates, it is indeed not a mere slogan!

The knowledge that I have gained at the Faculty of Biotechnology of Unika Atma Jaya, namely the techniques and principles of Biotechnology, has benefitted me substantially. The experience to work in labs and prepare reports during my study has helped me deal with troubleshooting in identifying problems and of course solving them.
