Daru Seto Bagus Anugrah is a lecturer in the Undergraduate Biotechnology Study Program, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. He earned his bachelor-s degree at Diponegoro University, Semarang, Indonesia and his master-s degree at Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea. He has experience in the industrial world as a chemist laboratory at Smaltochimica Asia (Zschimmer & Schwarz Asian) and QC Executive Team Leader at Siegwerk Indonesia. The focus of his research is the modification and development of biomaterials. The studies that have been carried out are nano-liposome from sesame seed phospholipids, nano-micelles from synthetic biopolymers, ultra-fast hydrogels, graphene modification, development of biosensors, and development of biocatalysts for biodiesel. Apart from research in the wet lab, Daru also conduct research in a dry lab through computational analysis using quantum mechanics (density functional theory) and classical mechanics (molecular docking and molecular dynamics). Daru-s research is highly interdisciplinary, covering biophysics, chemistry, cell biology, biomechanics, soft materials, and macromolecular engineering.
