Overview

Founded in 1984, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is a prominent public university in Sintok, Kedah, Malaysia, with a strong emphasis on management education and leadership development. Initially established to champion excellence in management and related disciplines, UUM has broadened its academic offerings to include a wide range of fields such as economics, information technology, public administration, law, and social sciences, all designed to cultivate highly skilled professionals and thought leaders. Academic Calendars

The academic year at Universiti Utara Malaysia is divided into two semesters:

Spring Semester:

  1. Nomination and Application Deadline: October - December

  2. Semester Start: Early March

  3. Semester End: Late June - Early July

Fall Semester:

  1. Nomination and Application Deadline: April - June

  2. Semester Start: Early September

  3. Semester End: Late December - Early January

Orientation for international students is conducted a week before each semester, covering essential topics such as course registration, cultural adaptation, and campus facilities.
