Overview

Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is a public technical university in Pahang, Malaysia, known for its strong focus on engineering, technology, and applied sciences. Originally established as the University College of Engineering and Technology Malaysia in 2002, it later became Universiti Malaysia Pahang and was renamed to its current title in 2023 in honour of the Sultan of Pahang. UMPSA operates across two main campuses, Pekan and Gambang, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs with practical and industry-oriented curriculum.


UMPSA emphasizes industry collaboration, research, and innovation to ensure its graduates are prepared for real-world challenges. Academic Calendars

The academic year at UMPSA is divided into two semesters:

Spring Semester:

  1. Nomination and Application Deadline: October - December

  2. Semester Start: Early March

  3. Semester End: Late June - Early July

Fall Semester:

  1. Nomination and Application Deadline: April - June

  2. Semester Start: Early September

  3. Semester End: Late December - Early January

Orientation for international students is conducted a week before each semester, covering essential topics such as course registration, cultural adaptation, and campus facilities.
