Jakarta, May 2, 2025 – Continuing its commitment to global academic collaboration, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (Unika Atma Jaya) proudly sends a delegation of five students and one faculty member to participate in the Global Intercultural Project Experience (GIPE++) 2025. The team departed for Germany on Saturday, 26 April 2025, to engage in this interdisciplinary program that promotes community development, environmental sustainability, and digital transformation. GIPE++ 2025 is a cross-cultural initiative supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for the 2025–2027 cycle. It brings together four partner universities from four different continents: Westphalian University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (Indonesia), Namibia University of Science and Technology (Namibia), and Universidad Católica San Pablo (Peru).
The Rector of Unika Atma Jaya, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuda Turana, Sp.S(K), emphasized the significance of the university’s involvement in international platforms such as GIPE++. “Our full support for GIPE++ reflects Atma Jaya’s mission to develop young people who are not only academically excellent but also socially aware and globally minded. I hope this experience equips them to become agents of change with real impact,” said Prof. Yuda. This initiative is a collaborative effort between two faculties at Unika Atma Jaya: the Faculty of Communication and Business Administration (FIABIKOM) and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Innovation (FBTI). The diverse academic backgrounds of the participants highlight the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork in addressing global challenges. (RBA)
