The third International Conference on Current Legal
Issues and Human Security (ICLHS) was held in Atma Jaya Catholic University
Campus, Yustinus Building 14 th floor, Jl Jendral Sudirman 51, Jakarta. The
theme of this conference is “ Law in the Digital Era”.
This conference activity aims to reveal various legal problems,
especially in the field of human security, with a focus on legal developments
in the digital era.
This meeting began with a presentation from the keynote speaker, the
vice minister of Law Prof Edward Hiarej, and was followed by a presentation
from Columbia University, New York, USA, Ms Marian da Silva.
Other main speakers who also filled this meeting were Dr.M Rizal Rahman
from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Dr. Dao G Phuc from Vietnam, Dr. Pal
Szilagy from Pazmany University, Hungary, Peter van Tuijl from Kemitraan, and
Dr sih Yuliana from Atma Jaya University.
In addition, the
conference also held a call for papers, inviting participants from various
backgrounds, including lecturers, students, government officials, and
researchers from Indonesia and Timor Leste. Meanwhile, the listening
participants are from Malaysia, Vietnam, and Hungary. The meeting is expected to encourage
participants to present their research or study findings.
This meeting was conducted in a hybrid manner, where some participants
participated online via Zoom. There were 34 presenters in this national
seminar, divided into two sessions with 4 rooms, where each room had four
presenters.
Participants who have presented and submitted their articles will be
published in the Atma Jaya Journal, Paradigma Hukum ( 4 articles), and Gloria
Justitia (4 articles), and the rest will be published in the Proceedings.
We
hope that this activity can motivate both lecturers and students to conduct
research and disseminate it to fellow academics and the community.
