Songkhla & Phatthalung, Thailand, September 21–26, 2025 — The Faculty of Law of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) successfully completed its Passage to ASEAN (P2A) mobility program at Thaksin University (TSU), marking a meaningful step in strengthening comparative legal understanding within the ASEAN region. Over the course of one week, AJCUI students participated in a series of academic and cultural activities designed to broaden their legal perspectives while fostering cross-cultural friendships. Throughout the program, students attended lectures on Intellectual Property Law and Public International Law, which opened opportunities to compare Indonesian and Thai legal systems in greater depth. Classroom discussions were lively and encouraged students to examine how legal principles are applied differently across jurisdictions. The atmosphere of exchange not only highlighted shared regional challenges but also allowed both universities to reflect on legal education in a global context.

A major highlight came on 23 September, when the delegation visited the Songkhla Provincial Court. The group was welcomed by Miss Thita Tankanitlert, Vice Presiding Judge, who delivered a comprehensive overview of the Thai judiciary and guided students through courtroom procedures. This session allowed participants to see firsthand how legal theory connects with judicial practice. Their learning continued the next day during a visit to the Songkhla Administrative Court, where they were warmly received by Ms. Natthawipha Bamrungsap, Director of the Administrative Court Office. She introduced students to Thailand’s administrative dispute mechanisms and demonstrated the e-Litigation Portal, offering valuable insight into the country’s digital transformation in legal processes. The week concluded at TSU Phatthalung Campus with additional academic sessions and cultural immersion, giving students space to reflect on their experiences while strengthening ties with local communities.
