Jakarta, 15-19 December 2025 — Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) continued its commitment to experiential international learning through the UTMSPACE Immersion Programme under Passage to ASEAN (P2A), held from 15–19 December 2025 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The program brought students to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to engage directly in innovation-driven activities that combined academic learning, cultural exposure, and entrepreneurial thinking. The program began with a welcoming ceremony at UTMSPACE, followed by orientation sessions and team-based activities designed to sharpen students’ problem-solving skills. Throughout the immersion, participants worked in groups to identify real challenges on campus, develop simple business ideas, and present their concepts through pitching sessions. These activities encouraged active discussion, creativity, and collaboration across disciplines, allowing students to experience applied learning beyond the classroom.
In addition to academic sessions, the program also included cultural exploration in Johor Bahru, giving students the opportunity to learn more about local heritage and social life in Malaysia. This balance between academic engagement and cultural experience enriched the overall immersion, helping participants gain a broader regional perspective within the ASEAN context. The program concluded with a closing ceremony and certificate presentation at UTMSPACE, marking the successful completion of the immersion. Through this initiative, AJCUI and UTM reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering student mobility, innovation, and regional collaboration under the P2A framework, equipping students with valuable insights and skills for their future academic and professional journeys.
