National Formosa University (NFU) is a public technological university located in Huwei Township, Yunlin County, Taiwan. It traces its origins to the Yunlin Provincial Institute of Technology and developed into its current university status in 2004, blending strong technical education with practical application and regional contribution. The university emphasizes industry-academia cooperation, research, and professional training rooted in engineering, science, management, and arts and sciences disciplines.

Over the years NFU has expanded its academic and research scope with new centers and international exchange opportunities while maintaining strong roots in applied sciences and technology.
