Overview

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Mahidol University (MUPY) is one of Thailand’s leading pharmacy schools, established in 1968 and dedicated to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and professional practice. Originally beginning as a traditional Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, it transitioned to a 6-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program in 2009 in line with international standards and evolving roles of pharmacists in healthcare. The faculty has played an instrumental role in advancing pharmacy education and healthcare services nationally and regionally. 

With a long history of producing competent pharmacists and researchers, MUPY places strong emphasis on foundational knowledge, clinical skills, research capacity, and ethical professionalism, preparing graduates for impactful careers in both public and private sectors of healthcare.

Academic Calendars

The academic year at Mahidol University Faculty of Pharmacy is divided into two semesters:

Spring Semester:

  1. Nomination and Application Deadline: October - December

  2. Semester Start: Early March

  3. Semester End: Late June - Early July

Fall Semester:

  1. Nomination and Application Deadline: April - June

  2. Semester Start: Early September

  3. Semester End: Late December - Early January

Orientation for international students is conducted a week before each semester, covering essential topics such as course registration, cultural adaptation, and campus facilities.


Courses in English

Mahidol University Faculty of Pharmacy provided an English-taught undergraduate degree specifically designed for both Thai and international students. The Doctor of Pharmacy Program is a 6-year professional degree (Pharm.D.) program offered under Mahidol’s international curriculum offerings.
