Jakarta, March 19, 2025 – On March 19, 2025, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) had the honor of welcoming H.E. Galma Mukhe Boru, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya, for a courtesy visit. The meeting took place at 13:00 (Jakarta time) in the Rectorate Office Meeting Room, Karol Wojtyla Building, 1st Floor, Semanggi Campus, following a formal request from the Embassy of Kenya earlier in March. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to discuss shared interests in education, scholarship opportunities, and potential areas of academic cooperation between Indonesia and Kenya. Both parties expressed appreciation for the chance to engage in meaningful dialogue and explore possibilities for long-term collaboration.
Kenya, recognized as one of Africa’s leading educational hubs, is home to several highly regarded universities such as the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Strathmore University, and Moi University. These institutions hold great potential as future academic partners for AJCUI, particularly in fields such as sustainable development, public health, business, and digital innovation. This visit marked a valuable step in building stronger cross-cultural ties and reaffirmed AJCUI’s commitment to fostering international academic engagement across regions. (RBA)
