AJCUI Welcomes ISFIT Timor-Leste Staff for Cross-Border Internship Program

Jakarta, May 26, 2025 – In a meaningful step toward regional academic collaboration, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) recently hosted four staff members from the Instituto Superior de Filosofia e Teologia (ISFIT), Timor-Leste, as part of an educational internship exchange program. The internship, which spanned several months, allowed ISFIT personnel to gain hands-on experience in managing higher education activities and professional campus events. The selected interns—Elisabeth da Silva Andrade, Inácio Maia, Tomas João Messah Santos, and Americo da Cruz—immersed themselves in the operational and academic environment of AJCUI, observing best practices in administration, student services, and institutional coordination.

More than just an exchange of systems and structures, the internship fostered mutual learning and strengthened the bond between two institutions with a shared mission: to uplift lives through quality Catholic education. This initiative reflects AJCUI’s commitment to empowering institutions across Southeast Asia and the Lusophone world by opening its doors to knowledge-sharing and professional development.
