Bandung, Bogor & Jakarta — October 2025 — October 2025 became an active and enriching month for Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) through its participation in three major iBuddy initiatives hosted by Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), IPB University, and BINUS University. The series of programs created opportunities for AJCUI students to learn, serve, collaborate, and reflect alongside peers from across Indonesia and abroad. The month opened with UNPAD’s ICE-Ty Program (9–11 October), which welcomed 48 international students from five universities. Participants engaged in a well-designed combination of cultural activities, campus exploration, and interactive academic sharing. AJCUI students played an active role in group discussions, helping to build an atmosphere of collaboration and cultural openness among participants from different backgrounds.
From 21–23 October, AJCUI students continued their journey at the Buddies Impact Lab hosted by IPB University, where they visited Sukajadi Village to participate in hands-on community development sessions. They explored mina padi agriculture, mushroom cultivation, and strawberry farming, and observed small-scale food production practices. Students later worked in mixed groups to prepare recommendations for strengthening local agrotourism and community resilience—an experience that deepened their understanding of rural entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability. The month concluded on 24 October at BINUS University with the iBuddy Reflection Day that brought partner institutions together to evaluate program outcomes, highlight key learnings, and celebrate the accomplishments of the iBuddy network. Students exchanged insights on cultural immersion, leadership development, and community engagement, reinforcing the shared spirit that drives the iBuddy community. Through these activities, AJCUI students gained broader cultural awareness, expanded their networks, and strengthened their role as young global citizens. (RBA)
