Atma Jaya Catholic
University of Indonesia (AJCUI) is proud to announce the
opportunity for students to participate in GIPE++ 2025, an international
project focused on global collaboration, sustainability, and community
empowerment.
The Global
Intercultural Project Experience (GIPE) is a prestigious cross-cultural
initiative funded by DAAD for the period of 2025–2027. This program
builds upon the success of previous GIPE projects from 2019 to 2023 and
provides students with the opportunity to work on real-world sustainability
challenges. The initiative is a collaboration between Westphalian University
of Applied Sciences in Germany, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia,
Namibia University of Science and Technology in Namibia, and Universidad
Católica San Pablo in Peru.
GIPE++ 2025 will focus on
community development in Untung Jawa Island, Indonesia, with the aim of
empowering local communities, restoring the natural environment, and sustaining
future initiatives through interdisciplinary collaboration. Students will work
on projects integrating digital technology, environmental science, business,
and sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Program Duration
The GIPE++ 2025 program will run from March to July
2025. As part of this program, selected students will have the opportunity
to participate in the Spring School in Germany, which will take place from
April 28 to May 9, 2025. Travel scholarships are available for eligible
participants.
Eligibility and
Requirements
The program is open to
students who have completed at least four semesters of study at AJCUI.
Applicants must have a strong academic record, proficiency in English (both
oral and written), and excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Students with a demonstrated interest in digital technology, sustainability,
and community development are highly encouraged to apply.

Interested students must
complete the registration form by January 10, 2025. Applications will be
reviewed based on academic performance, motivation, and alignment with the
program’s objectives. Successful candidates will be notified accordingly.
