Cultural Exchange in Action: CULS Students Join AJCUI for Two-Week Inbound Program

7/14/2025 12:00:00 AM

Jakarta, 14-27 July 2025 – Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI), through the School of Bioscience, Technology, and Innovation (SBTI), proudly hosted six students from the Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) as part of the two-week academic and cultural exchange program from July 14 to 27, 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen international collaboration while offering CULS students the opportunity to explore Indonesia’s vibrant culture and academic environment. Throughout the program, the visiting students participated in a range of academic and cultural activities, including lectures, collaborative projects, and hands-on learning sessions in 3D printing, life cycle assessment (LCA), and solid modeling. They will also gain a deeper understanding of Indonesian traditions through a variety of immersive cultural experiences — from batik workshops and traditional dance classes to excursions exploring Jakarta’s heritage sites and local markets.

The program also includes community activities, like a visit to TPA Cisauk together with dormitory students. This gives the CULS students a chance to see local communities up close and learn more about social issues around them. This collaboration with CULS continues the good relationship between the two universities. By mixing classroom learning with cultural experiences, the program helps both sides understand each other better and opens up opportunities for future joint projects. (RBA)
