Jakarta, 3-14 November 2025 — Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI), through its International Office, successfully hosted the ASTra (APTIK & SDG Transformation) International Lecture Series from 3–14 November 2025, conducted online via Zoom. The program brought together academics, students, and international partners to explore key global issues through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while strengthening international and national academic collaboration. Throughout November, ASTra featured eight interdisciplinary lecture sessions organized by various faculties at AJCUI, in collaboration with partners from the APTIK network and universities abroad. The series attracted many registered participants from diverse academic backgrounds and countries, including Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Nigeria, Timor-Leste, and Russia.
Each session addressed timely and relevant themes such as quality of life, climate action, health innovation, sustainable tourism, language and social justice, cross-cultural management, and urban waste management. International speakers from partner institutions across Asia and Europe enriched the discussions by offering global perspectives, academic practice and societal challenges. Participants consistently highlighted the clarity of presentations, relevance of content, and the value of engaging with international scholars. Beyond academic exchange, the ASTra International Lecture Series also supported AJCUI’s broader internationalization agenda. Participation in the program contributes to international activity records and strengthens collaboration reporting to national education authorities, reinforcing AJCUI’s commitment to global engagement and academic networking. With its successful implementation and growing international reach, ASTra continues to serve as a meaningful platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. The International Office looks forward to expanding the program in future editions while deepening partnerships within the APTIK network and with global institutions to create even more impactful academic experiences.
