Jakarta, January 2, 2025 – Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) is once again hosting the ACICIS Professional Practicum (PP) 2025, continuing its long-standing collaboration with the Australian Consortium for 'In-Country' Indonesian Studies (ACICIS). The ACICIS Professional Practicum Programs offer intensive six-week academic and professional immersion opportunities for students from Australia and around the world to experience learning in Indonesia. Participants integrate their academic education with practical field experience through placements in various Indonesian organizations and companies across diverse industries. This time, there were total of 108 students from 14 universities in Australia coming to Indonesia to study and hone their skills overseas.
AJCUI as the very first universities kicked off the ACICIS PP 2025 on January 2, 2025 on the 15th floor of Yustinus Building in the Campus Semanggi. After the opening of program started, there were remarks from ACICIS, Australian Embassy in Jakarta, and AJCUI to welcome the students to Indonesia while wishing the best of experiences for them here. There were also introduction of the ACICIS staffs that would be accompanying them for their time in Indonesia. "We aim to build stronger connections between the people of Australia and Indonesia, and this internship program serves as a vital bridge to achieve that goal," explained Helmi Wattimury, ACICIS Program Coordinator.
