Overview

Yuan Ze University (YZU), established in 1989 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, is a private university recognized for rapid development and strong academic quality. It is known as the first university in Taiwan to receive the National Quality Award (2003), highlighting excellence in teaching, research, and administration.

YZU has over 9,000 students and is organized into major colleges such as Engineering, Informatics, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Electrical & Communication Engineering. The university emphasizes innovation, internationalization, and industry–academia collaboration, supported by research centers like the Fuel Cell Center and Communications Research Center.

It is also recognized in international rankings and promotes bilingual (especially English-medium) education to prepare students for global careers.
