The Faculty of
Engineering of Atma Jaya Catholic University is committed to supporting the
development of technology in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). As part
of this commitment, the faculty offers lecturers and students opportunities to
continue learning and exploring AI and its applications. On Thursday, 4 July
2024, Unika Atma Jaya's Master of Electrical Engineering (MTE) Study Program in
collaboration with PT GFAI tech. held a one-day workshop with the theme: The
workshop, which was presented by Benjamin Vonrhein from GFAI Tech in Berlin,
introduced the use of artificial intelligence in the field of noise and
vibration monitoring.

On this
occasion, one of the lecturers of the MTE Study Programme, Tajuddin Nur, Ph.D.,
presented the development of research in the field of Electrical Machines and
the process of designing efficient Electrical Machines. It is hoped that AI
technology can be implemented to help design electrical machines, especially in
the field of renewable energy. The workshop was opened by the Head of the MTE
Department, Dr Catherine Olivia Sereati. One of the MTE lecturers, Dr Marsul
Siregar, who is an expert in renewable energy and photovoltaic management,
moderated the workshop.
Dr Marsul Siregar as Moderator and Tajuddin Nur,
PhD presented the Electrical Machine technology.
The workshop
was attended by lecturers and students from several faculties in Unika Atma
Jaya, representatives from GFAI Tech and also from MITS Solution ASIA. From
this workshop the participants gained new insights into AI applications in the
industrial world. It is hoped that in the future FT Unika Atma Jaya, especially
the Master of Electrical Engineering Study Programme, can further explore
developments in the field of AI both in industry and in everyday life.
