Riset berfokus pada bakteri patogen bawaan pangan terkait deteksi molekuler untuk gen virulensi, gen penyandi resistensi terhadap antibiotik, integron serta analisis keragaman genetik dari bakteri tersebut. Selain itu juga riset untuk eksplorasi agen antibiofilm, anti-quorum sensing dari mikroorganisme lain untuk mengatasi berbagai bakteri patogen, khususnya patogen bawaan pangan.
