1/24/2017 12:00:00 AM

On 04 November, 2016 Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia has a visit from our university partner that was Silesia University, Poland. Kinga and Karolina came to Indonesia for some days regarding to EHEF event. It was nice to meet them again because last time, our staff Selvya Margaretha, went to Polish Summer in Silesia University with Yulian Harris, one of the student in Polish Class which is held by Atma Jaya Catholic University.

They came to give us such a fun time about 90 minutes to give us information all about Poland. They described the summer school activity in Silesia University, the cultures, the unique things we can find in Poland, a glance of Poland history and even they brought some delicious snacks from Poland and they were ahhhh very nice food. All the participants can try them out and they fell in love with the food.

The Presentation was continued with Polish dances workshop. So, Karolina and Kinga showed us the video of the dance, they taught us some movements and all the participants follow the steps. Moreover, we moved to bigger space because the classroom didn’t accommodate us so we used the hall of C building. Everybody was happy, it was such a new and nice experience for all of us. As the dance workshop finished, we continued with the Polish short class. The tutor was given very effectively, the participants was happy because they can interact directly with Polish native speaker. The meeting was ended by taking picture together with all participants and they got postcards from Poland and some souvenirs from Silesia University. One picture which they wear ulos, traditional clothes from North Sumarta, was given for Kinga and Karolina as a appreciation to take time visit Indonesia and Atma Jaya Catholic University. Perhaps, the Polish class is open again and there will be another chances for the participants to study in Poland. Dziekuje bardzo – thank you so much!
