Virtual MoU Signing Ceremony to Strengthen Mutual Cooperation between Davao Del Norte College and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia

No person can live by themselves without help of others, and the same applies with institutions. A mutual cooperation between education institutions, especially international cooperation, may leads institutions to solve many complex problems and enhance the quality of education in their country. Countries from the same region may facing the similar problems, and when those countries cooperate with each other, hopefully it will be easier to comes up with the solution.

On Wednesday (9/3), a virtual MOU signing was held between Davao del Norte College, Philippines and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. The agenda for the virtual signing was as followed:

3. Welcome speech from President of Davao del Norte College: Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa
4. Welcome speech from the Principal of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia: Dr. Agustinus Prasetyantoko
5. Welcome speech from Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Davao, Philippines: Hon. Dicky Fabrian

From Davao del Norte College also presented as well: Dr. Girley S. Gumanao as Vice President of Academics; Dr. Eliseo Huesca Jr. as Vice President of Research, Extension and Production; Dr. Arnold M. Duping as Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Education; Ms. Florie Ann Fermil as Dean of Faculty of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Governance; and Mr. Daniel Fritz V. Silvallana as Head of International Affairs Office.

From Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, the virtual signing was attended by: Dr. Yohanes Eko Adi Prasetyanto as Vice Chancellor for Research and Cooperation; Dr. Eko Widodo as Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Studies; Mr. Adre Zaif Rahman as Head of International Affairs Office; Dr. Rosdiana Sijabat as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Studies; Dr. Rachmadi Parmono as Head of Business Administration Study Program; Dr. Dorien Kartikawangi as Head of Communication Studies Study Program; and Dr. A.Y Agung Nugroho as Head of Master of Business Administration Study Program.

This isn’t the first time Davao del Norte College and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia cooperate with each other. Both universities did collaborate on the aspect of Tourism before, with a webinar titled “Recognizing Tourism Portential: Jakarta and Mindanao as Tourist Destinations”. With how good the relation between both universities maintained, we hope that this cooperation will last long for the beneficial of both sides.
