In 2023, the U.N. organization that deals with development issues, namely UNDP, will become a working partner. UNDP stands for United Nations Development Programme or the United Nations Development Programme. UNDP is a United Nations agency dedicated to assisting countries in developing and achieving sustainable development goals. UNDP works with governments, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and civil society to accelerate the achievement of sustainable development around the world. UNDP focuses on four main areas: poverty alleviation, strengthening democratic governance, environmental protection, and crisis management and disaster risk reduction.

Specifically, the GIPE team will work closely with a part of UNPD called UNDP Accelerator Labs. UNDP Accelerator Labs are a global network of groups working to develop innovative solutions to global development challenges. The program is led by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and supported by partners such as the Global Environment Facility and the German Government.

The main goal of the UNDP Accelerator Labs is to identify and develop effective new solutions to address complex and challenging development problems, such as poverty, climate change, and gender inequality. They operate in more than 90 countries around the world, focusing on solving problems and disseminating solutions through innovative methods and new technologies. One of the main strategies of UNDP Accelerator Labs is to combine innovative approaches with digital technology to collect data and evaluate the success of the solutions developed. This can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions provided by UNDP and accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

At UNDP, the delegation from Atma Jaya university was received by: Muhammad Didi Hardiana (Head of Experimentation), Aisha Marzuki (Head of Exploration), Ajeng Larasati (Innovation Staff). UNDP has provided a complete and clear explanation of the history, aims, and objectives as well as various activities carried out by UNDP Accelerator Labs to date. After the reason, it was followed by a question and answer session on various matters related to UNDP activities. The event ended with the presentation of souvenirs from Atma Jaya University to UNDP Accelerator Labs Indonesia.
