Ignasius Joanito

My name is Ignasius Joanito, an alumnus of FTb class 2005. I would like to share some of my experience in publishing a paper which had really helped my research career nowadays. Back then, I did an experiment about genetic diversity of Vibrio cholerae throughout Jakarta. I conduct my research under supervision of Dr. Diana E. Waturangi and Yogiara, M.Si. At that time, they really encourage me to publish my work on international journals. In the beginning, I found some difficulties in publishing my thesis. But fortunately, at the end, my thesis was published in a well-known international journal. Eventually, all my effort in publishing this thesis paid well. Ever since I graduated, I have been trying to apply postgraduate scholarship. During those times, I faced some difficulties when dealing with GRE score requirement. However, by the time my thesis was officially published in a well-known international journal, the scholar committee considered the paper as a more-than-adequate replacement for my GRE score requirement. Thanks to it, I am now enrolling a PhD program in Taiwan with a full grant provided by the Taiwan government.
