Department of Business Administration, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, proudly present “Guest Lecture on International Business and Economics with PD Dr. Patrick Ziegenhain.”

The European Union is a unique supranational political and economic system that has brought economic progress to its 27 member states through its common market. In recent years, however, its political and economic difficulties have increased: the debt crisis in Greece, which is connected to the common currency euro, the Brexit, the refugee crisis, and in 2020 also the economic crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

First, Dr Patrick Ziegenhain will present the principles of the common market and the EU‘s Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) in his lecture. He will then outline and compare the economic developments of the member states before he will talk about the current economic challenges and prospects facing the European Union.
This special guest lecture is open to students of International Relations, Business Administration and the general public.
