Jakarta, 5-12 April 2026 – Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) warmly welcomed students from the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), Philippines, for an engaging academic and cultural visit held in early April 2026. The visit marked a meaningful continuation of the collaboration between both institution and AJCUI Tourism Study Program following their earlier virtual exchange initiatives. The program began with the arrival of UIC participants and was officially opened through a welcoming session, followed by a roundtable discussion and workshop. These sessions provided spaces for students and lecturers from both universities to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and explore topics related to hospitality, tourism, and cross-cultural understanding. The discussions were not only academic-based but also reflective, allowing participants to connect their knowledge with real-world practices.

Throughout the visit, participants took part in a series of interactive activities, including a campus tour and mini booth sessions that introduced various aspects of student life at AJCUI. One of the highlights was the interactive workshop on signature mocktail creation, where participants not only learned the fundamentals but also created and presented their own drinks, adding a fun and practical dimension to the experience. On the following days, participants explored AJCUI more closely through a campus tour and interactive mini booth sessions. They  visited key facilities such as tourism laboratories, hotel labs, and culinary spaces, while also engaging with lecturers and students to gain insights into academic life at AJCUI. Beyond academics, the program also emphasized cultural exchange to which during Cultural Day, participants experienced Indonesian culture more closely, while interactions with AJCUI Student Buddies played a key role throughout the week. The program concluded with a closing ceremony on April 11th , followed by the participants’ departure the next day. More than just a series of academic activities, the PILOT-HRT 2026 program created meaningful connections, practical learning experiences, and lasting memories for everyone involved, further strengthening the collaboration between AJCUI Tourism Study Program and UIC.
