Taiwan Delegation Visited AJCUI to Strengthen Academic Dialogue and Collaboration

Jakarta, 9 March 2026 – Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) welcomed representatives from Wenzao University, Taiwan, for a meaningful academic visit aimed to strengthen the partnership between AJCUI and Wenzao University while also exploring more in-depth collaborative initiatives such as potential dual-degree programs. The representatives of Wenzao University were Janet I-Jane Weng, Ph.D. the Dean of Office of International & Cross-Strait Cooperation and also Sr. Cecilia Wang, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. 


Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages is a distinguished private Catholic institution in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, widely recognized as the country’s only university dedicated exclusively to language education and intercultural studies, fostering graduates with strong global competence and communication skills. Established in 1966, Wenzao emphasizes multilingual proficiency, international mobility, and industry-linked learning, supported by extensive partnerships with more than 270 institutions worldwide that enables dynamic student exchange and collaborative academic initiatives. While the university isn’t listed in the QS World University Rankings 2026, it’s listed in the Edurank where they ranked 92nd in Taiwan, 5175th in the global 2026 rating, and scored in 35 research topics. Its strengths lie in immersive language training, cross-cultural engagement, and a holistic educational philosophy rooted in service and global citizenship. Wenzao University has been a partner of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia for a long time and AJCUI would welcome the opportunities for cooperation in student exchange, language programs, and cross-cultural initiatives.
