Jakarta, 17 August 2026 — Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) celebrated the dedication and achievements of its students through the 2026 Student Achievement Appreciation event, held at the BSD Campus in conjunction with the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The event recognized students who had represented the university in various competitions while highlighting the determination, perseverance, and personal growth behind every achievement. Throughout 2026, AJCUI students recorded 69 achievements across different levels of competition, comprising 29 international, 32 national, and 8 provincial achievements. These accomplishments reflect not only the students’ abilities, but also their willingness to pursue opportunities beyond the classroom and develop their potential through meaningful experiences.
In his remarks, AJCUI Rector Prof. Dr. dr. Yuda Turana, Sp.S(K), encouraged students to view achievements as part of a longer journey rather than as the final measure of success. He emphasized that winning and losing are external outcomes, while the more important task is to continue becoming the best version of oneself. He also reminded students that excellence should be accompanied by good character, resilience, and competence—qualities that will help them face future challenges, including the world of work. The event also highlighted the wider impact of student achievement. Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Human Resources, Dr. Yohanes Eko Adi Prasetyanto, S.Si., encouraged students to use their accomplishments as opportunities to inspire others, create positive impact, and build meaningful collaborations.
