Jakarta, 17-19 August 2026 —  Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia welcomed its newest students through the INI-SLJ 2026 Batch 1, a three-day orientation program held across the Semanggi, Pluit, and BSD campuses. Designed to help new students adapt to university life, understand Atma Jaya’s values and environment, and build connections within the university community, the program marked the beginning of a new chapter for the incoming students. As part of the orientation, the International Office (IO) participated by introducing new students to the various international opportunities available throughout their university journey. Through its booth, IO provided an initial gateway for students to discover how their academic experience at Atma Jaya can extend beyond the classroom and connect them with the international community.

The IO booth featured testimonial videos from Atma Jaya students who had participated in international programs, student exchange opportunities, and international scholarships, allowing new students to gain insight from the experiences of their peers. The booth also showcased videos featuring international students who came to Indonesia through international programs, including the Global Immersion Guarantee (GIG), highlighting the two-way nature of internationalization at AJCUI. Students were also introduced to IO’s current international exchange partners and opportunities through dedicated informational materials. The materials highlighted partner universities such as Sapienza University of Rome, Hanyang University, Radboud University, Dalian Neusoft University, and Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, alongside international opportunities including GIPE++, Double Degree, Passage to ASEAN, Fast Track programs, and other mobility initiatives. New students were also encouraged to engage directly with IO staff, who were available to answer questions regarding student exchange, international programs, application processes, and opportunities that they may pursue during their studies. Through its participation in INI-SLJ 2026 Batch 1, IO introduced international opportunities from the very beginning of students’ university journey, encouraging them to explore, connect, and pursue global experiences throughout their studies.
