Jakarta, March-April 2026 – Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) continues to strengthen its global engagement through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with two international partner institutions during the March–April 2026 period. The agreements were established with Trinity University of Asia, Philippines, and Shih Chien University, Taiwan, as part of AJCUI’s ongoing commitment to expanding its academic network and fostering meaningful international collaboration. These MoUs provide a formal framework for cooperation in various areas, including student and staff mobility, academic exchanges, joint programs, and potential research collaborations between the institutions.
Trinity University of Asia, located in Quezon City, Philippines, is recognized for its strong academic tradition and commitment to values-based education, with notable programs in health sciences, business, education, and liberal arts. The university has been active in regional and international collaborations, making it a suitable partner for developing exchange opportunities and joint academic initiatives within the ASEAN context. Meanwhile, Shih Chien University in Taiwan is widely known for its strengths in design, architecture, and creative industries, alongside business and management programs. With its emphasis on innovation and practical learning, Shih Chien offers a different academic perspective that complements AJCUI’s multidisciplinary approach. Its international orientation and reputation in creative education provide valuable opportunities for collaborative programs that integrate both academic and industry insights.
Through these partnerships, AJCUI aims to create more dynamic and diverse learning experiences that goes beyond the classroom. The collaboration with Trinity University of Asia strengthens regional engagement within Southeast Asia, while the partnership with Shih Chien University opens pathways to broader East Asian academic networks. Together, these MoUs support AJCUI’s vision of providing students and faculty with meaningful international exposure, encouraging cross-cultural understanding, and developing competencies needed in a global environment. In the long term, these collaborations are expected to contribute to more innovative, inclusive, and globally connected academic programs at AJCUI. (RBA, ARK)
