Jakarta, April 10, 2026 –  Through the Faculty of Business and Social Innovation, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) held an international seminar titled “War, Prices, and Financial Crisis” at the Karol Wojtyla (KW) Building. The seminar raised timely discussions on how global conflicts continue to shape economic conditions worldwide, influencing inflation, supply chains, and financial stability. In a context where geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainties remain relevant, the session encouraged participants to reflect on how these global dynamics are closely connected to everyday realities, particularly in developing and emerging economies. The seminar also served as a platform for students to engage more critically with current global issues from an academic perspective.

The seminar featured Dr. Alicia Girón González, an Emeritus Researcher at the Institute of Economic Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), one of the most prominent universities in Latin America. With her extensive background in economic research and her recognition as a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers, Dr. Girón brought a broad international perspective to the discussion, particularly on financial crises and global economic structures. She was joined by Ir. Harry Seldadyo Gunardi, M.E., MA., Ph.D., and Benediktus Elnath Aldi, S.E., M.Si., from AJCUI, who complemented the session by offering insights that connect global developments with Indonesia’s economic context. The discussion created a balanced exchange of perspectives, enriching participants’ understanding of both global and local economic challenges. (RBA, ARK)
