French Delegation Visited AJCUI to Strengthen Academic Dialogue and Collaboration

Jakarta, 22-23 January 2026 – Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) recently welcomed representatives from Université Bourgogne Europe (UBE), France, for a meaningful academic visit aimed for strengthening institutional ties and exploring future collaboration opportunities. Prof. Daniel Raichvarg, accompanied by colleagues from UBE’s International Office and academic leadership visited AJCUI to engage in a series of discussions with university leaders, faculty members, and the International Office team. The visit reflected a shared commitment to strengthen cooperation in research, teaching, and academic mobility between the two institutions.


During the meeting sessions held at AJCUI’s campus, both sides exchanged ideas on potential joint research initiatives including the “Ferments Road Initiative,” as well as staff mobility and future student exchange opportunities. The conversations were constructive and forward-looking and focuses not only on formal agreements but also on how both universities can create sustainable and impactful collaboration in the years ahead. In addition to campus discussions, the delegation participated in a courtesy visit to the Embassy of France in Indonesia, highlighting the broader diplomatic and academic ties between Indonesia and France. The atmosphere throughout the visit was warm and collegial, emphasizing mutual respect and shared academic values. This visit marks another important step in AJCUI’s international engagement efforts. More than formal documents, the exchange of perspectives and the opportunity to meet face-to-face laid a strong foundation for future cooperation in research, education, and cultural understanding between AJCUI and Université Bourgogne Europe.
