Jakarta, 29 May 2026 — Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) welcomed a delegation from the American Institute for Indonesian Studies (AIFIS) and participants of the Faculty Leadership for International Training and Exchange (FLITE) Program at the Semanggi Campus. The visit brought together faculty members and higher education administrators from College of the Canyons, California, United States, as part of their study visit to Indonesia to learn about internationalization practices in higher education. AIFIS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting educational and cultural exchange between Indonesia and the United States. In 2026, AIFIS served as the host of the FLITE Program, a professional development initiative designed for American faculty members and university administrators. The program aims to strengthen global leadership, encourage international engagement, and foster collaboration between higher education institutions across countries.
During their visit to AJCUI, the delegation participated in a networking lunch, campus tour, and informal discussions with representatives of the university. The exchange provided an opportunity to share experiences and best practices related to international collaboration, student mobility, global outreach, and academic engagement. Participants also explored potential areas of cooperation in various disciplines, including education, business, environmental studies, biology, and communication. The visit reflected AJCUI’s continued commitment to building meaningful international partnerships and creating opportunities for cross-cultural academic exchange. Through interactions such as these, the university continues to strengthen its global network while fostering dialogue and collaboration that benefit students, faculty members, and the broader academic community.
