Jakarta, February 2026 – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) achieved a wonderful milestone this year by being recognized among the top faculties globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings by Subject 2026 for Medicine and Health. In this prestigious ranking, AJCUI successfully secured the 1001+ position globally, establishing itself as the number one private university in Indonesia for medicine and health according to THE 2026. The faculty’s ranking in the THE Impact list was particularly highlighted for its commitment to health and well-being, as well as its engagement with community health programs that align with several Sustainable Development Goals. This achievement reflects AJCUI’s solid performance in developing education and research in the health sector to meet global standards.
The Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. dr. Felicia Kurniawan, M.Kes., welcomed this prestigious achievement. "This achievement is the result of the collaborative efforts of the entire academic community of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (ATCU) in developing quality health education and research with integrity and a focus on tangible impact on society. Recognition as the number one private university in Indonesia in the field of medicine and health according to THE 2026 also serves as a reminder for us to continue improving the quality of teaching, research, and international collaboration," she said.
