Yogyakarta, 29 May 2026 — On 29 May 2026, representatives from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI), including staff from the International Office, Scholarship Office, and Admissions Office, conducted a benchmarking visit to Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY) and Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). The visit was part of AJCUI’s preparation for the implementation of the Indonesian Government’s Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship (KNB Scholarship) program. During the visit, the delegation met with representatives responsible for international affairs, scholarship management, language training, and student mobility. The discussions provided valuable insights into student selection processes, BIPA programs, international student services, and administrative support systems that contribute to the successful management of KNB scholars.
The benchmarking activities also highlighted several best practices that may support the future development of AJCUI’s KNB program. Among the key lessons shared were the importance of dedicated BIPA classes for KNB awardees, greater engagement with international alumni as program ambassadors, active collaboration with Indonesian embassies abroad for scholarship promotion, and comprehensive support for international students throughout their academic journey. Through this visit, AJCUI reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality services and a welcoming academic environment for international students. The benchmarking activity not only strengthened institutional networks with fellow universities but also served as an important step in ensuring that future KNB scholars at AJCUI receive meaningful academic and cultural experiences during their studies in Indonesia.
