Jakarta, 31 August 2026 — Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. The agreement was signed on August 28, 2026, by Dr. dr. Felicia Kurniawan, M.Kes., Dean of AJCUI’s School of Medicine and Health Science, and Prof. Chi-Ying F. Huang, Dean of NYCU’s College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The MoU aims to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. It opens opportunities for student and staff exchanges, joint research projects, academic lectures and conferences, as well as other educational activities. The partnership also includes opportunities to explore student exchange and dual degree programs in the future.
The MoU signing was also connected to a Guest Lecture by Prof. Huang on August 31, 2026, titled “Drug Repurposing: From Big Data to Therapeutics.” The lecture explored how Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help researchers understand how people respond to medicines and support the development of more personalized treatments. Through this partnership, AJCUI and NYCU hope to create more opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members to learn from one another and develop collaborative work in health, pharmaceutical sciences, and related fields.
