Biografi


Yanti, Ph.D. memperoleh gelar doktoral di bidang Linguistik dari University of Delaware pada tahun 2010 dan gelar magister di bidang Linguistik Terapan Bahasa Inggris dari Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya pada tahun 2004. Saat ini, beliau menjabat sebagai wakil dekan Fakultas Pendidikan dan Bahasa di Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya. Beliau menjadi peneliti tamu di Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies pada 2024-2025. Yanti, Ph.D. merupakan anggota dewan editor dari jurnal NUSA: Linguistic Studies of Languages in and around Indonesia sejak 2013 dan anggota dewan editor dan dewan mitra bestari jurnal Linguistik Indonesia sejak 2014. Beliau menerima Luce Fellowship for Research on Indonesia tahun 2013-2014 dari the American Institute for Indonesian Studies. Minat penelitiannya meliputi linguistik dokumenter, deskripsi bahasa, sosiolinguistik, dan English for Specific Purposes. Hasil penelitiannya telah diterbitkan di sejumlah jurnal international dan nasional terakreditasi, antara lain Cognition, Oceanic Linguistics, International Journal of the Sociology of Language, Critical Multilingualism Studies, NUSA, Linguistik Indonesia, dan Journal of Community Empowerment.
