Biography

Dr. Veronika Maria Sidharta obtained her medical degree from Atma Jaya Catholic University in 1999 and continued her Master's studies at the University of Indonesia, graduating in 2009. She completed her Ph.D. at Gadjah Mada University in 2018. With expertise in Biomedical Science and Histology, Dr. Veronika has a deep understanding of the structure and function of human cells and tissues. As an educator, Dr. Veronika teaches a variety of courses in the field of Biomedical Science, including Basic Biomedical Science 1 to 6, Entrepreneurship in Health, and Social Entrepreneurship. She also covers topics such as Pathology Concepts, Medicolegal Studies, Neurobiochemistry, Neuroscience, and Biomedical Techniques. Dr. Veronika's commitment to education helps prepare students to become competent professionals in the fields of biomedical science and health. In her research, Dr. Veronika focuses on stem cell therapy, nutrition, and skill development in medical education. Her publication titled "The Relationship Between Vitamin D Intake and Musculoskeletal Complaints in the Age Group 17-35 Years" (2023) explores the importance of nutrition in muscle and joint health in young adults. Another study, "Allogeneic Mesenchymal Stem Cells Therapy for Burn Wound Rat Model: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" (2023), provides an analysis of the effectiveness of stem cell therapy in burn wound healing.

Additionally, she investigates "The Impact of Mentoring on Enhancing Generic Skills of Medical Students" (2023), highlighting the importance of mentorship in medical education and its impact on developing the generic skills necessary for effective medical practice. Finally, in her research "The Effect of Secretome in Conditioned Medium from Human Umbilical Cord on Histological Improvement and Wound Contraction in Sprague Dawley Rat Model of Second-degree Burn" (2023), Dr. Veronika studies the positive effects of administering secretome from human umbilical cord in enhancing burn healing, providing hope for more effective regenerative therapies.
