Biography
Prof. Dr. Setiono Sugiharto completed his undergraduate education at Unika Atma Jaya in 1997, followed by a master's degree in 2003 and a doctoral degree in 2012, all from the same institution. He is an expert in Applied Linguistics, focusing on the application of linguistic theory in education and research. As an educator, Prof. Setiono teaches various courses, including Dissertation Proposal and Dissertation Writings, and organizes a Seminar on Current Issues in Applied Linguistics, supporting students in developing literacy skills and discussing contemporary issues. As an active academic, Prof. Sugiharto has published significant works, including "The Politics of the (Re) Production of Nonexistence in Global Academic Publishing" and "Translanguaging Practices in Composition Scholarship and Pedagogy," addressing fundamental issues in academic publishing and translanguaging practices. His latest work, "Alignment and Embodiment in a Play Script Writing Process: Asociocognitive Perspective," along with an analysis of English variation in Indonesia in "From Unequal Englishes to the Praxis of Decolonial Fissures," demonstrates his dedication to understanding and critiquing academic practices at both global and local levels.

Prof. Dr. Setiono Sugiharto completed his undergraduate education at Unika Atma Jaya in 1997. He then continued his master's studies at the same institution, earning his master's degree in 2003.
