Biography
Dr. iur. Asmin Fransiska, S.H., LL.M., is a legal academic who completed her undergraduate studies at Parahyangan Catholic University in 1998 and went on to earn her Master of Laws from Northwestern University in 2004. She later obtained her Doctor of Laws (Dr. iur.) from Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen in 2016. As an expert in Narcotics Law and Policy, Dr. Asmin has extensive knowledge of legal issues related to narcotics, human rights, and the protection of children and women.
In her role as an educator, she teaches various courses, including Criminal Procedure Law, Human Rights Law, and Narcotics Law, with the aim of equipping students with a deep understanding of relevant legal issues. Over the past few years, Dr. Asmin has published several important works, such as "Quo Vadis Trisakti, Semanggi I and II case as a crime against humanity based on International Criminal Law perspective," which analyzes the Trisakti tragedy from the perspective of international law, and "Right to health on access to clean water in Indonesia," which discusses the right to health in the context of access to clean water. Her works have significantly contributed to the understanding of legal issues in Indonesia and have fostered dialogue on more equitable policy reforms.
Education
Dr. Asmin Fransiska completed her undergraduate studies at Parahyangan Catholic University in 1998. She then pursued further studies abroad and earned her Master of Laws degree from Northwestern University in 2004. Following this, she pursued her Doctoral studies at Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen, where she successfully obtained her Doctor of Laws (Dr. iur.) degree in 2016.

In her capacity as an educator, Dr. Asmin teaches a variety of courses, including Criminal Procedure Law, ASEAN Law, Human Rights Law, Health Law, Narcotics Law, Child and Women's Protection Law, International Criminal Law, Criminology, Neurogeriatrics and Dementia, as well as Legal Writing. Through her teaching, she aims to equip students with a deep understanding of relevant legal aspects in society.
