The idea promoted in the policy is to relieve the students of three-semester credits (from a total of eight-semester) for undergraduate programs, are allowed to be taken off-campus, either by doing internships, research, community service, etcetera. "The curriculum we have applied to answer the Kampus Merdeka is to provide an internship program options for students: research projects, social engagement programs such as community service, and community empowerment," said Rector of AJCUI, Dr. Agustinus Prasetyantoko.

"Not only provide a list of companies, institutions, private and overseas campuses for our students, but we continually verify and monitor students in their internships. For students who are interested in becoming a researcher, or work on research and development (R&D), it is recommended to take the research project internship program. Selected lecturers will mentor them, and the research will be fund by a grant project, so students no longer burdened with such an issue.

"In the curriculum prepared for the Kampus Merdeka, we not only seek to hone the competency skills but also the sensitivity towards social issues the society and what actual contributions one may offer. That is why the social engagement program is part of this curriculum.
