Jakarta, 7 March 2022 - Publicized from various media in Indonesia, after the formation of the Selection Committee (Pansel) of Candidates for the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (DK-OJK) for the period 2022-2017 on December 24, 2021; The Selection Committee handed over the names of the 21 DK-OJK candidates to President Jokowi, (7/3).
Unika Atma Jaya Rector, Dr. A. Prasetyantoko as one of the nine DK-OJK Candidate Selection Pansel, has completed his task in the process of selecting candidates for the board from 29 names to 21 names. These names have gone through four stages of affirmation or interviewing candidates for DK-OJK for the period 2022-2027. The final selection process has been accomplished from March 2 to March 5, 2022.
Four stages have been passed, including administrative selection; second, assessment of papers, track records, and community input; third, assessment and medical tests; and finally, affirmations and interviews.
“In deepening the interviews and affirmations, we deepen the vision and mission of understanding the internal problems of the OJK and the financial industry as well as programs to strengthen the OJK as a supervisory and regulatory organization for the financial sector. An in-depth study is implemented regarding the quality of leadership, the integrity of the candidates and particularly important because the collegial collective board of commissioners emphasize teamwork both internally and to oversee the financial sector and develop the industry in the future, " said Sri Mulyani, Chair of the DK-OJK Selection Committee.
Moreover, Prasetyantoko revealed that the submission of 21 names of the candidate members was submitted to President Jokowi to be reduced to 14 names. According to him, the existing names will later be submitted to the House of Representatives (DPR), in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the OJK Law.
"Expectantly, the chosen name will be able to carry out their duties properly. The selection process is not easy, but of course, the standpoint of integrity, professionalism, synergy, inclusiveness, and vision is very much needed for DK-OJK so that it can be committed to carrying out its responsibilities," added Prasetyantoko.
The members of the Selection Committee who played a role in selecting the candidate members consisted of Sri Mulyani Indrawati as Chair and concurrently member representing the government. Second, Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo as a member. Third, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo is a member representing the government.
Fourth, Suahasil Nazara as a member represents the Government. Fifth, Doddy Budi Waluyo is a member representing BI. Sixth, Agustinus Prasetyantoko is a member representing the academic community. Seventh, Muhamad Chatib Basri is a member representing the Banking Industry Society. Eighth, Ito Warsito as a member represents the capital market industry community. Last, Julian Noor as a member represents the non-bank community.
