Jakarta, February 7th, 2020 - Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo leads the Mass and the Inauguration ceremony of the elected Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) Rector for 2019-2023 periods at the Albertus Magnus Chapel, Semanggi Campus. Dr. Agustinus Prasetyantoko regained trust as Rector for the next four years. To carry his duty, he will be having support from vice-rectors: Prof. Dr. Diana E. Waturangi. M.Si (Vice-Rector of Academic), Agustinus Prajaka Wahyu Baskara, SH, M.Hum (Vice-Rector of Student Affairs and Alumni), Elisabeth Rukmini, Ph.D. (Vice-Rector of Collaboration and Research) and Epivana, S.Psi., MM, LCPC., (Human Capital Director).
"This is a call of service, and our prayers so this call can be carried out sincerely, happily, and may give the happiness of faith for partaking in God‘s great work. For the Atma Jaya community, let‘s continue our service in confidence for God and the Nation," said Cardinal Suharyo.

This ceremony is more meaningful than before since it accords with Atma Jaya Lustrum XII. At the 60 years of continuous service, AJCUI has three campuses with each particular focus: Semanggi Campus as Center for Nation Development, Pluit Campus as Center for Health Development, and BSD Campus as Center for Human Development. Through these three centers, Atma Jaya plays an active role in developing prominent human resources, contributing to national policies, and the innovation and development of public health. Specifically, in 2019, when few of Atma Jaya‘s lecturer was chosen to bear duty as Vice Minister, Judge of Constitutional Court, and LPSK Commissioner, the contribution felt much real.
"We committed to improving the academic quality by keeping it relevant to ever-changing era and contribute to the nation endlessly," said Prasetyantoko. The university, which established on June 1, 1960, has the motto "For God and the Nation." and in relevance with its Lustrum XII, the university resonance message "From Atma Jaya for Indonesia: Transformation of Prominent and Compassionate Individuals."

"Atma Jaya will focus on academic transformation in the next four years, which includes a flexible curriculum, technology adoption in learning, and applying international standards in measuring academic quality," said Dr.Agustinus Prasetyantoko in his remarks.
There are three indicators of success that have been derived in various performance indicators, namely quality, relevance, and impact. The government version of the tertiary ranking indicator and the QS Ranking will be an indicator of success in the quality field. The Relevance indicator will be measured by employability, while Atma Jaya‘s community service will measure the impact indicator.
Atma Jaya Foundation Chairwoman, Claudia Wiwiek Dianwati Santoso, expressed her commendation and confidence in the elected Rectors and deputies who will be able to adapt to the ever-changing and disruptive era endlessly.
Implementing International Standards for Academic Quality
Atma Jaya currently has eight faculties, twenty undergraduate study programs, eleven master‘s programs, two doctoral programs, and four professional programs. Since 2018, AJCUI has transformed its academics by promoting an interdisciplinary curriculum. Adopting to the technology, Atma Jaya launches an online learning platform, called AtmaZeds, that has contained more than 150 programs and mobile-apps ready by this year.
"We are the first campus to develop our online learning platform, which possible to access across multidiscipline and even open for public. We have also adopted the first blockchain certification in Indonesia, collaborating with Singaporean company."

The 2019 KEMRISTEKDIKTI ranking fixed AJCUI in 7th place for a private university and 32nd best university in Indonesia. The world ranking institution based in London, QS Ranking, also placed Atma Jaya in the top 500 best universities in Asia. AJCUI also awarded five stars (full stars) from QS Stars in the field of employability and social responsibility, indicating that the industry recognizes the alumni and as a university has a significant social impact on society. This awards cemented Atma Jaya to improve its academic quality at the international level.
Real Contribution to Society
Atma Jaya concentrated on contribution to society and Indonesia by empowerment programs to promote solving social and environmental issues as introduced in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets.
One of its top programs is the Rain Water Harvesting, which began in 2011, developed by lecturers and students of the Atma Jaya Faculty of Engineering. It later gains support from national and multinational private parties, and also from the government. The program continues to grow regarding other aspects, such as family financial management assistance, waste bank, and children‘s learning support. The program thrives on attracting student mobility from overseas partners. "We aim to not only to create prominent graduates but also compassionate one. We believe that compassionate is an unduplicatable quality of a person and irreplaceable by technology". Atma Jaya Catholic is ready to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0 by transforming itself to prepare prominent and compassionate individuals.

From 2015 until 2019, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia recorded to provide five hundred million rupiahs for disaster relief, 5 billion community relations programs with a radius of 200 km from campus, fifteen billion worth scholarships to more than 1,000 students from the lower-middle class.
Atma Jaya is also active in conducting student exchange programs and joint research programs to improve human resources and education in Indonesia. Since 2012, the International Office (now Collaboration bureau) recorded more than 500 students join student exchange programs and 400 international students studied in Atma Jaya, including the collaboration with more than 80 partner universities across five continents.
This achievement shows Atma Jaya Catholic Univesity of Indonesia‘s consistency to support the Government in developing humane and nationalist generations, under the spirit of the founding founder "For God and the Nation."
