Jakarta, 27 April 2023 - the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia has held the 81st Undergraduate and 55th Postgraduate Graduation Open Session on Thursday, 27 April 2023 at the Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center.
A total of 750 graduates graduated in this period, consisting of 675 graduates of undergraduate programmes and 75 graduates of master programmes, and more than 300 graduates obtained cumlaude predicate or graduated with honours.
This graduation ceremony is the momentum of the return of offline graduation after the COVID-19 pandemic. This precious moment is a new hope for the graduates to look to the future more optimistically.
In his remarks, the Rector of Atma Jaya Catholic University (Unika Atma Jaya), Dr Agustinus Prasetyantoko, congratulated the graduates and their achievements. Unika Atma Jaya takes adaptive steps in preparing future generations to face the complex challenges of the future and develops insights into global developments that will be a challenge for graduates.
"The sustainability perspective is the main paradigm of the curriculum at Unika Atma Jaya to prepare graduates to face future challenges," said Dr Agustinus Prasetyantoko, Rector of Unika Atma Jaya.
With gratitude and pride, the Rector also expressed his hope for all graduates to be able to contribute to the world in facing global challenges.
Also present on this occasion was the Head of LLDIKTI Region III, Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P., giving a speech at the Open Session of Unika Atma Jaya Graduation, Thursday (27/03).
Paristiyanti invited the graduates to become ambassadors for Indonesia, not only for their alma mater, by contributing to the progress and welfare of the nation in the community.
"In 2022, Unika Atma Jaya is the fastest university in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) programme and the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS)," said Paristiyanti.
Paristiyanti also appreciated several study programmes at Unika Atma Jaya that have prepared a curriculum that is adaptive to rapid change. This can be seen from the various achievements of Unika Atma Jaya students both academically and non-academically at the national and international levels.
And also through collaborations with national and international universities, active in the community of higher education institutions, and working with international companies.
