Graduation and Oath of Engineers Atma Jaya Catholic University: Professional Engineers at the forefront of Indonesia's development


Jakarta, 18 March 2023 - The Professional Engineer Program study programme, Atma Jaya Catholic University (Unika Atma Jaya) held a graduation and engineer oath, Saturday (18/03). This hybrid graduation ceremony graduated 212 graduates.



Congratulations were given by the Head of the Professional Engineer Programme, Ir. Enny Widawati, in her speech. In addition, Mrs Enny also advised the graduates to remain enthusiastic in facing future work challenges.

Also attending the event, the Rector of Atma Jaya Catholic University, Dr Agustinus Prasetyantoko, in his speech conveyed the importance of the engineering profession in the future. "With the development that is being intensively carried out by Indonesia, talents in the field of engineering are needed at this time," he said.


"Infrastructure development is a real effort to unite Indonesia so that it is increasingly respected in the eyes of the world," added the Rector of Atma Jaya Catholic University in his speech.

Seeing the important role of the engineering profession in nation building, the Rector of Atma Jaya Catholic University hopes that Atma Jaya Catholic University engineer graduates will be united by the same vision, namely the vision of building Indonesia to unite, prosper Indonesia and make Indonesia more prominent in the eyes of the world.



A total of 212 graduates who attended offline and online went through the graduation procession and took the engineer's oath.



The event then continued with remarks from the Secretary General of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), Ir. Bambang Goeritno.

On that occasion, the Secretary General of PII expressed his appreciation to Atma Jaya Catholic University for being committed to producing Indonesian engineer candidates and implementing Law No. 11/2014 on Engineering in earnest.


"Atma Jaya Catholic University has become a strategic partner of PII because it has successfully trained more than 400 engineers who are also part of PII," said the Secretary General of PII.
