11 Atma Jaya Catholic University students ready to improve their skills by studying abroad through the IISMA 2023 programme

Jakarta, 11 May 2023 - the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia again sends selected students to take part in the IISMA programme and have the opportunity to experience the culture of the destination country to broaden their horizons, experience, and improve skills.

The Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards, or IISMA for short, is a scholarship scheme awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Through the IISMA programme, Indonesian students will be funded for one semester to study at a reputable university abroad, including registration and tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, and health insurance.  

After following a long series of processes, starting from registration for participation, file selection, to the interview stage. On Tuesday (09/05), an onboarding session was held for students from all universities in Indonesia who successfully passed by the Ministry of Education and Culture in a hybrid manner.

From around 70 Atma Jaya Catholic University (Unika Atma Jaya) students who applied from various faculties, 11 best students have been selected as representatives of the university to join the IISMA 2023 Programme and get the opportunity to study at an overseas university of their choice, namely:
1. Salma Adiwangi (Faculty of Economics & Business) : Boston University, Massachusetts
2. Mathilda Amadea Keo (Faculty of Economics & Business) : KU Leuven, Belgia
3. Tiara Georgina (Faculty of Business Administration & Communication Sciences) : Leiden University, Belanda
4. Angelika Putri Novelina (Faculty of Psychology) : Osaka University, Jepang
5. Ervioleta Marcella Ananda (Faculty of Psychology) : Monash University, Australia 
6. Anindha Widyanti (Faculty of Psychology) : University of Queensland, Australia
7. Karina Widyastuti Mokoginta (Faculty of Psychology) : University of Sussex, Inggris
8. Maeve Maria (Faculty of Psychology) : Hanyang University, Korea Selatan
9. Dania Lei Aristy (Faculty of Psychology) : Korea University, Korea Selatan
10. Alldrich Putra Soetyono (Faculty of Technobiology) : University of British Columbia, Kanada
11. Caroline Vania Putrisantosa (Faculty of Technobiology) : University of Auckland, Selandia Baru

The 11 selected students above still have to take part in the IISMA 2023 Pre-Departure Series which is a series of debriefing activities provided by IISMA to awardees (as IISMA scholarship recipients are called) and is intended to expand their knowledge and abilities in various matters during the IISMA Programme before departing to the destination university.

Congratulations to Unika Atma Jaya students who have successfully received IISMA scholarships to study at their respective dream universities! Hopefully this programme will be the first step for #SahabatAtma so that they can contribute to society as future leaders of the nation.
