NARADA VI THEATRE, SRI: THE MUSICAL

Jakarta, 22 May 2023 - After a two-year vacuum to perform due to the pandemic, NARADA is back to perform a theatre piece about the quarter life crisis that is often experienced by a number of people.

With the title "Sri: The Musical", NARADA tries to present a new story about a village girl with a burning spirit who fights for the welfare and justice of farmers in her village from government promises.

Sri: The Musical was performed three times at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (GKJ), once on Saturday (13/05) and twice on Sunday (14/05).

Still with the director and scriptwriter who has been attached to NARADA since NARADA II, namely Stephanus Tjiproet, Sri: The Musical successfully attracted a total audience of 1,063 people consisting of the leadership of Unika Atma Jaya, lecturers of the Faculty of Psychology, students of the Faculty of Psychology, alumni, families of the cast and committee of NARADA VI, other theatre communities, and invitations from external parties involved.

NARADA itself is an acronym for "Nada and Rasa in Drama" which is one of the projects under the auspices of the Psychology Student Association (HIMAPSI) of the Catholic University of Indonesia (Unika) Atma Jaya which is engaged in the arts, especially musical theatre involving acting, dance, music, and vocals.

This year is NARADA VI and the first performance after the pandemic. In 2020, the performance of NARADA V was delayed until 2021 due to the pandemic until it was finally broadcast in the form of the embodiment of the performance in NARADA Theatre: Past, Present and Future online via YouTube.

Unika Atma Jaya always supports every student activity both in terms of academic and non-academic. High appreciation is also given to the entire cast, committee, and organizers for the implementation of the NARADA VI theatre performance.
