Digital-Based Creative and Adaptive Counseling, Unika Atma Jaya Guidance and Counseling Study Program Conducts Re-accreditation

Jakarta – The Guidance and Counseling Study Program (Prodi) of the Indonesian Catholic University (Unika) Atma Jaya is conducting study program re-accreditation which takes place online on April 12-13 2023.

This re-accreditation is carried out to ensure the quality and quality of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Education and Language of Atma Jaya Catholic University. For now, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program is accredited B with number SK 1702/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VIII/2018, and will go towards Superior accreditation.

This re-accreditation activity was directly accompanied by two assessors from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK), namely Prof. Dr. Drs. Mungin Eddy Wibowo, M. Pd., Ba., Kons and Dr. Budi Astuti, M.Sc.

The Guidance and Counseling Study Program has a scientific vision that in 2024 will become a study program that produces a Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counseling based on an eclectic–integrative approach to build the adaptability and creativity of digital counseling in urban communities based on Indonesian culture and based on Christian values, superior, professional, and caring (KUPP).

Based on this vision, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program has a mission and goal to organize, implement, improve, and carry out academic education and teaching activities in the field of guidance and counseling and to collaborate with other institutions both nationally and internationally to improve human resources and Tridharma activities.

The vision, mission, and goals are carried out to be able to produce graduates of education and scientific work in the field of Guidance and Counseling who can plan, implement, evaluate, and carry out services based on Christian values, superior, professional, and caring both as guidance counselors, counselors, education managers, edupreneurs, media development and school and non-school learning resources.

Lecturers of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program have produced accredited international and national research works and community service registered with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

The learning process for the Guidance and Counseling Study Program is carried out in two locations, namely the Semanggi Campus and the BSD Campus. The Guidance and Counseling Study Program has classrooms that are equipped with modern equipment and adequate supporting facilities such as BK Laboratory, BK Observation Room, Counseling Laboratory, and Counseling Observation Room.
