The Matriculation for New Student
Grantees (MABASA) is an event designed for new student grantees to get
acquainted with each other, adapt to the new academic environment, and
understand their responsibilities as student grantees at Unika Atma Jaya.
MABASA is an annual event initiated by the Scholarship Office, which has been
held prior to the start of the academic year for three consecutive years. The
MABASA 2020 program was hoped to provide the new student grantees some
important information concerning scholarships and their rights and
responsibilities, in addition to getting them to be familiar with the family of
Atma Jaya, particularly the Scholarship Office, the Board, and other
Scholarship grantees, despite the current limited means of communication.
MABASA 2020 was held on September 19 2020
through Zoom meeting, considering the COVID-19 pandemic which had led to some
concerns and difficulties in conducting face-to-face communication and
interaction. Against this backdrop, MABASA featured a theme called STAR (Stay
Connected Among Scholars). MABASA 2020 began at 13.00 with the opening from MC,
followed by some remarks from the Head of the Unika Atma Jaya Scholarship
Office, the Vice Rector of Student Affairs, and Alumni of Unika Atma Jaya.
Then, the event continued with some introduction about the Scholarship Office,
assertion about the rights and responsibilities of the student grantees,
sharing sessions from each faculty which were held in the Zoom Breakout Rooms,
facilitated by the peer counsellors from each study program. The event then
concluded at 15.00.
